The sudden heat wave!
Here at Banana moon Bishops Stortford are lucky enough to have AC in all of our rooms, this has proven to be perfect especially with the weather changes, it allows us to ensure that the children stay a cool temperature throughout their day.

As the weather is changing we at Banana moon Bishops Stortford wanted to share a few ways in which we promote staying cool with the children.

We promote staying cool within the rooms by -

Using our great parent partnerships to ensure that all of the children have the appropriate clothing for the weather ahead and if anyone is in need of advice or help with this we make sure that we are able to offer it.

Children are in light weight clothing and have the AC on in the rooms, this helps to ensure that they room is the appropriate temperature and also to help the children's bodies to become regulated.

Water is always available to the children at all times, the water is switched out throughout the day to ensure it is cold and nice and fresh.
Fruit is being offered at snack times, this is a great one as fruit is light and contains water which helps to ensure that the children are stating hydrated!
 
When going into the garden, we ensure that there is a shaded area, water play is out, the UV is low and no-one is out at peak times between 11am - 3pm. We ensure the use and encouragement of hats, sun creams and footwear.

All rooms are offering wonderful, creative and fun activities, that will keep the children engaged, based around things that keep us cool.
